Final course grades are based on your overall percentage across all graded components listed in Assignments & Grading. Letter grades follow the standard undergraduate grading scale below.

Note: Final grades are determined by the instructor based on the total course percentage. Borderline cases may be reviewed for consistency and fairness.

  • Midterm Exam—20%

  • Participation & Engagement—5%

Additional Notes

Rounding

  • Final course averages are typically rounded to the nearest whole number at the end of the semester (e.g., 89.5 → 90).
  • The instructor may also consider consistent improvement over the semester.

Missing Work

  • Missing major components (e.g., final project) will significantly reduce the final grade.
  • Late penalties are described in Assignments & Grading.
